Who we are…

Contract Wastewater Operations, LLC is a water and wastewater operations and maintenance firm based in Clarkdale, Arizona. We specialize in the operations of small-to medium-sized water and wastewater treatment facilities. Our services include routine operations, maintenance, process control, sampling, reporting, budgeting, consulting and more. We dovetail our services to each of our client’s needs. Our operators strive to run facilities in the most efficient, cost-effective manner while achieving compliance with all regulatory agencies such as U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, Arizona Department of Water Resources and others.

Our Services

Water Production and Treatment

Our team manages all of the field aspects of water production and delivery to customers. This includes well operation, equipment maintenance and repair, filtration systems and disinfection. We read meters, track water loss and can organize emergency repairs of line breaks when they arise.

Compliance Sampling and Reporting

We take on all of the sampling and reporting tasks necessary for systems to remain in compliance with regulatory agencies. This includes everything from routine colilert monitoring to annual consumer confidence reports for water systems. For wastewater treatment facilities, we perform all discrete and composite sampling as well as monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting.

Wastewater Treatment

We specialize in process control for WWTPs. Our staff is trained in the utilization of technical instrumentation to evaluate microbiological performance and make the adjustments necessary to meet permit, day in and day out. We design and implement routine maintenance programs to get the most out of our client’s equipment and reduce operational costs. We regularly apply these skills to sewage lift station operations as well.

Our story starts here on the banks of Dry Creek in Sedona, Arizona…

Late in the summer of 1998, two like minded people got together and decided that they would clean up the water and wastewater treatment facilities of central Arizona. One had an engineering background, the other’s was in chemistry. Both loved their work and still do today. At CWO, we have built a team that shares the same passion for delivering clean, safe drinking water and running wastewater treatment plants well so that our groundwater and waterways remain free from pollutants and waste.
